Some 550 singers and a large audience converged on Great St. Mary's to rehearse and
perform Fauré's Requiem, conducted by Christopher Brown, and John Rutter's Gloria,
conducted by the composer. Pam Rhodes of the BBC was the presenter. With the aid
of all who took part, over £10,000 was raised for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.
